Mahuenga

Dean Deveraux wants to get back on his feet after a lifetime of addiction and the failures that go with it. He never planned to return to his parents’ trailer in Mahuenga after his mother’s death but, then, he never planned anything. Before he gets a chance to feel too sorry for himself, he begins investigating the disappearance of a teenage sex worker after a violent encounter in a dark parking lot. With no witness, no obvious suspect, and evidence at the crime scene that doesn’t make sense, he analyzes the clues. Was she murdered? Kidnapped? Or did she split? Dean assembles a team to work the case including his former girlfriend, the victim’s pining ex-boyfriend, a co-worker who’s ready to get out of the sex trade, and a social worker with ties to the porn industry.
